How does this experience differ from flying on a commercial flight?

Charter Jet Airlines luxury service between New York and Ft. Lauderdale features flights on board executive jets that depart from private facilities. You won’t have to deal with the inconveniences of getting through international airport terminals, nor will you have to funnel through formalities typical of commercial air travel that are often onerous and unpredictable. Our service cuts hours off the typical flight. You’ll be able to arrive at the airport just minutes before your departure. You’ll delight to more personal space throughout your journey. You’ll arrive feeling more relaxed and in control.

Who is behind this service?

Charter Jet Airlines offers Public Charters for which Member Jets acts as principal in buying and reselling the air transportation. All flights are performed by FAA-licensed and DOT-registered air carriers.

Charter Jet Airlines is an authorized agent of MemberJets for this service.

MemberJets are a business to business (B2B) technology firm and DOT 14CFR Part 380 Indirect Air Carrier. They provide a platform enabling approved charter brokers such as Charter Jet Airlines and aircraft operators to actively engage in the sale and management of individual seats, publish routes and provide transparent pricing. MemberJets are the public charter operator for this service.

Prime Jet is a DOT certificated Part 135 aircraft operator based in Colorado with global operations. They hold several top safety ratings including ARGUS Platinum, Wyvern Wingman, and ISBAO Stage II. Prime Jet is the direct air carrier for this service.

Charter Jet Airlines, MemberJets, and Prime Jet are all members of The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).

What is a Public Charter?

Air transportation, whether scheduled or charter, may be sold by a licensed direct air carrier (operator), a licensed indirect air carrier (under DOT’s Part 380) or the authorized agent of either. A public charter flight is an on demand flight sold to the public through one of these means. Flights arranged and sponsored by a public charter operator are performed by a direct air carrier. Rules and procedures for public charters differ from those of scheduled flights.

How am I protected?

The Terms and Conditions set out rights and requirements for the public charter operator and participants. Your rights as a consumer of this service are contained in the OPC which by law must conform to Part 380 of The US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. For example, the DOT requires that all passenger funds be held in escrow until the flight has operated, thus protecting your purchase. You are required to confirm having read the Operator-Participant Contract at the time of booking which legally binds you to the terms and conditions set out for the flight.

Do these flights operate on a crowd-sourcing model?

No. These flights are not initiated on a conditional basis by individual consumers.

How many seats are available for sale on each flight?

11 seats are currently offered for sale on each flight. Reservations are subject to availability and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The 3-place divan is being offered for sale at a reduced price. There is one divan on each aircraft.

What if I cancel?

You may be entitled to a partial refund if you cancel your seat reservation(s). Cancellation rules up to 10 days prior to departure are more flexible but still come with penalties. Please refer to Terms and Conditions for full details. We encourage you to consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance sold separately. One option is through insuremytrip.com.

How much baggage can I bring?

You can bring one large suitcase or two smaller ones. A personal item can usually be accommodated in the aircraft cabin. Larger items will be placed in the aft baggage hold.

What other policies are enforced on board these flights?

Weapons of any kind are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

You are required to comply with all TSA regulations with respect to what you can and cannot bring on board an aircraft. For full details please consult https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all.

All passengers and their baggage are subject to inspection prior to flight.

All passengers must abide by the Passenger Code of Conduct.

Can I have a meal on board?

You can pre-order a meal for your flight. Please find the menu HERE. Orders can be placed through our secure checkout along with your seat purchase. We require a minimum of 36 hours prior to departure for all catering orders. Meal service will not be available on board unless you have pre-arranged it. Where do I go to board my flight?

Flights operate to and from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, and Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Intl Airport.

At Teterboro flights use the Signature Flight Support East location (be aware that there are three Signature locations at TEB). The address is 200 Fred Wehran Drive, Teterboro, New Jersey 07608.

At Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Intl Airport flights use the National Jets facility located on the north side of the airport. The address is: 3495 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.

Can Charter Jet Airlines coordinate my ground transportation needs in New York or Ft. Lauderdale?

Yes! Please contact us and we would be delighted to arrange ground transportation for you. Pricing depends on the distance and type of vehicle you select.

What type of aircraft am I flying on?

Flights are scheduled to be operated with a Gulfstream IV-SP*. The aircraft is a large cabin business jet. The aircraft is operated by Prime Jet, a DOT certificated Part 135 operator which holds several top safety ratings including ARGUS Platinum, Wyvern Wingman, and ISBAO Stage II.

What is the pet policy?

Dogs and cats are permitted on board with prior written approval. A $200.00 charge applies for each pet that is not a certified service animal. No single pet may weigh over 15 pounds unless it is an approved and documented service animal. All requests must be submitted to Book@CharterJetAirlines.com at time of purchase and no less than 72 hours prior to departure. Your pet must remain in its carrier at all times during the flight. Customers will be responsible for any expense incurred due to pet accidents, odors, or aircraft damage.

What amenities are offered on board?

The following are the onboard features of this service:

Please note that the public charter operator reserves the right to substitute aircraft without prior notice and some of the above features may not be offered.

Is smoking or vaping permitted on board?

No. Smoking is prohibited at all times on all flights, including all tobacco products and the use of electronic cigarettes.

How far in advance must I arrive at the airport before my flight?

You may arrive as early as you’d like and relax in Signature’s comfortable lounge. We suggest you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure time but no later than 10 minutes prior to your departure on the risk of forfeiting your seat and payment.

Do you offer travel protection insurance?

Yes, we offer travel protection insurance for trip cancellation as well as health and accident coverage. This is a wise move if you want to be cautious and be able to cover any possible illness or injury, weather-related cancellations, and interruptions. How does this service differ from a private charter flight?

The principle differences to a private charter will be the shared cabin, set departure times, and a much lower cost to fly on board the aircraft as you are paying by the seat vs the entire aircraft. What is Part 380?

Part 380 of The US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (14 CFR 380) governs the requirements for selling and operating public charter flights.

What is an An Indirect Air Carrier?

An indirect air carrier is a person or entity which holds out air transportation to the public in its own right, contracting separately with a licensed operator to operate the flights sold to the public. MemberJets are also the indirect air carrier for this service.

Do you charge a membership fee or an initiation fee for this service?

No!

How do I purchase a seat on board?

Charter Jet Airlines markets seat via CharterJetAirline.com. You can purchase seats using our secure checkout. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard cards and E-Check. During checkout, you will also be asked for the name(s) of all passengers and will have the opportunity to request a specific seat on board the aircraft.

Before your booking can be confirmed you must acknowledge reading, understanding, and agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

Can I request a specific seat on board?

Yes. We will do our utmost to accommodate your preferred seat request but cannot guarantee it. During checkout you will have the opportunity to include your seat preferences. We highly recommend that you provide us with a few choices so that we can better serve you.

What is the price for a seat on this service?
